Nutritional guide to my plate There are guidelines for the types of food that each and every one should consume for them to live a healthy life and longer. The types of meals that meal should consume less include such meals as the sugar and sodium. The discussion below will give and exploration into the types of meals and the quantities that a person should put on the table at any time. The nutritionists do not only give advice about the types of food but also give the amount of meals that are worth placing on the table.

The discussion will also give this aspect of the diet to anyone. Each and every plate should always contain the four major forms of meals. The meal in every plate should always contain a fruits and vegetables, energy giving foods and the proteins (Mayo, 2010). The quantity of these meals should always vary in quantity. A nice meal should always contain almost forty percent of fruits and vegetables. Mothers should always consider checking and evaluating whatever their children consume. The quantity may be difficult for them to determine but they should always check.

Moreover, young people also need energy since they still have very many dividing cells in their body. Again, the children still play a lot and use more energy. It is prudent for every mother to consider making the table have carbohydrates to boost the energy level of their children (mayo, 2010). The nutrition policy will always help in preventing the deadly disease from attacking the body. Moreover, the body requires more fruits and vegetables to ensure that their body’s immunity is boosted.

The best energy giving foods that a person should consume are the grains. They have the energy contents that are very essential for boosting the energy level of people. Moreover, eating the grains is very healthy and effective for males who do jobs that are tiresome and tedious. On the other hand, mothers should always put protein on the table in every meal for as proteins help in the body repair of an individual. Moreover, proteins are very essential especially for young girls who are in puberty stage and loss weight during their monthly periods.

Proteins are very important in body repair and body building. Conversely, protein is needed by everybody in their lives and everyone must ensure that they consume some good amount of the proteins. However, proteins are categorized in different groups. The first category of protein is the animal protein. The next category of proteins is the plant proteins. The animal protein includes flesh. Flesh can either be red meat or white meat. White meat includes chicken and fish while red meat includes beef.

It is prudent for one to consume more white meat than red meat. Red meat has very many health problems as compared to the white meat. The plant protein includes such foods as green grams and soya beans. On the other hand fruits include things like banana, oranges and water melons. In conclusion, good health begins with a proper diet. It is prudent for every individual to ensure that they consume a balanced diet. Another important thing that one must consider is the amount of the meals that they consume.

The quantity should be proportionate as listed above. References Mayo Clinic. (2010). The Mayo Clinic diet. Intercourse, PA: Good Books.
