I have witnessed sensitive period, in which organisms are susceptible to environmental stimuli. I was able to adapt language at a later stage. My parents followed spanking approach, which is the best approach that should be adopted by parents so as to avoid any form of violence with children. I was never hit by my parents in childhood. I have noticed some students in my college behaving very oddly. They came from Sri Lanka, now I realized it was because cohort effects which are environmental and biological influences linked with significant historical issue (Feldman 11).

There are instances of my school where I have witnessed some of my friends memorizing very easily while others not being able to this is because of cognitive development that states intellectual abilities comprising of language development, memory, problem solving, intelligence and learning. Freud’s psychoanalytic theory and Erikson’s psychosocial theory forms the basis of psychodynamic perspective of child development which states the various factors that must be passed successfully by children so as to avoid any form of harmful fixations.

A research study was conducted by my college friend where she was supposed to examine changing consumer behavior pattern. I observed her taking sample from wide range of age groups this is known as cross-sectional research that gives flexibility to the researcher to compare and contrast different age group representatives simultaneously. I have been associated with some NGOs who prefer to use applied research that focuses on providing solutions that are practical in nature to all forms of immediate problems (Feldman 31).

When I was working with NGOs most of the research study that we conducted was on the field by visiting many under developed regions. This form of study is regarded as field study which is an investigation that is executed in a setting that is
