Mental Health Service and Acoholic & Drug Use of Homeless Article The researchers who wrote the first article learned that out of the people who resided in homeless shelters, roughly one third could have benefited from a weekly support and less than a half was recommended for intensive support. Nevertheless, around half of the people did not receive the needed health assistance which put their life in great danger. There is no doubt that the information which was presented in the article will help the mentally ill homeless since it highlight the scope of issues that they are facing as well as have some data that the local authorities might engage in order to increase the level of quality of services that are provided in the shelters, setting the right standard for the community.

Article 2 One of the most significant points that the researchers found focuses on the way social environment is able to influence the current behavior of the homeless women. Indeed, the results show that those women who had many friends with alcohol abuse problem were likely to develop this addiction themselves. On the other hand, those with multiple friends who were drug addicts, tended to be abusing drugs as well. All this holds important implications for helping homeless women. Indeed, it may be rather beneficial to promote healthy lifestyle among the citizens and so that the homeless would not be able to develop a social network that will be full of those who abuse any substances.

In other words, it is necessary to address the circumstances in order to avoid the negative results.
