But as Hollywood perpetually hangs between morals policing and freedom of speech, there has been a constant conflict between the filmmakers and the rest of the world.
The movie depicts that despite Ray's work in converting his cornfield into a baseball ground, he had always doubted his works. But the main character of the novel is particular about his deeds and leaves no space in following his dreams. This difference in the film's characterization had contributed to making the film more real than the original story.
He was an author who had been nominated for a National Book Award. This brief but significant resume was indicative of the kind of filmmaker John Sayles became, both in this first film and in his long and storied career. He is a writer and tells stories of dense personal histories played out against the backgrounds of social, economic, and tribal environments.
It is significant to make a note of the expression balanced in this depiction, as it brings to mind the idea of the beautiful. This painting does what it sets out to do incredibly effectively, and fully lives up to its potential. It shows absolute mastery of geometrical form and requires such mastery to be able to imply symmetry so heavily while at the same time completely deconstructing it and making an asymmetrical figure.
