It is thus locally operating services companies whose operations are do not covers a much larges area. This are hold a pollution of people ranging from nine hundred thousands to one million. Having this range of area to be covered and such a large population of people, the company has for time endeavored to delivery its services to the whole area to its maximum capability. This has been enhanced by having a moderate’s number of employees. The company has employed one thousand plus staff officer who are deployed at different fire station which are numbered to be twenty three of them. This compares of the head quarters whose base is at Bristol city centers. The company has dedicated its efforts to the provision of services to the people hence it has established several centers where they furnish free information to the communities they serve. They have well established station which includes the heads quarters of Bristol and bath, kinship, speedwell, Weston-super-, mare and are fire station which does provide free safe advice as well as internet and meeting services. Among the entire employees body, there are those two hundred and thirty five employees who are fire fighters on retained duty. Roles of individuals and teams within the organization 1. individuals within then organization Behaviors change on someone is achieved through learning. Learning is considered to be somehow a permanent change in behaviors. This comes from the activities which are observables and are coordinated in an internal process. These processes lead to happenings which include behaviors, cognitive and social behaviors changes. In the behavior approach, we individual would firsts observed and experiences the world environment which is presenting itself in the physical manner. We thus functions according to the naturals laws. This means that as individuals the change which occurs is due to a cause and an effect in the environment we are experiencing. As employees, they also have the power to gather information from the resources which are available and necessary for understanding their problem as well as solving their problems. However, the recourses which are necessary gathered are put in different methods until the puzzles which they have got solution to the problem. From this point the individuals are then bound to gain the insight of the gathered information if the problem which the individual usually have is not solved. When this happens, the individuals would evaluate the information at hand in order to adopt the right correction process techniques. This means the learning can only be measured through what people do at work and this is only controllable by not exposing these workers to some environment which would give them bad impression of learning of the others. The effects on works are brought about by subjecting them on courses involving reinforcement and punishments. The punishment and reinforcement goes in a simultaneous manner were when you want to reinforce some there must be some sort of punishment in case the action of being requested to food fails. This is why the rescues department has assigned duties to different people. Some having to respond in fulltime duties while other are part time workers who responses for rescues in case of incident. This means reinforcement is there to strengthen, however there is positive and negative reinforcements. Positive reinforcement would add something that would increases response while negative reinforcement would take some thing which is negative away also to increase a response. When there is any sort of behavior which is either wanting punishments reinforcement are used decrease the notions. This means that the organization behavior of individuals can be controlled by having these two factors on operations. These are major in including behavior changes to both individuals and also in groups work. This can be achieved by having to apply the two in certain procedures whereby a fixed ratio can be used to set a problem arising to individual. Another method which works with reinforcement is the use of fixed interval method. Personality is very important at work place for it enhances the one behaviors and personal conduct with the others. It determines the personality which leads to work satisfaction and improvement of performance in work place. These means personality of any one would affect the person work execution and still affects other people closely working with them. Their emotional stability would be either made act positively towards someone in attraction with the person. Its is thus useful to asses the personality of individuals to avoid bringing conflicts in the organization either through lack of delivering unsatisfying services. (Collins, 1996) Communication is very important in any organization but this is not easily achieved dues to barriers in the organization. Some of the factors which are major contributors to the communication problem in the individuals and group would include thing like physical barriers. This is because the organization has staff and other administrative building erected at different sites. Another reason which is possible problem leading to communication problem is the shortages of employees to serve in the office staff. Further communication barrier is the use of poor quality equipment which is installed in the o organization. This is majority due to poor management which can not introduce equipments which are applying the new technologies. There also poor organizational; structures which makes a confusion on the channels to air people views. This means there is inefficient and inappropriate information systems which lead to poor supervision ands training. This yields to lack of clarity in roles, responsibilities and uncertainty in the staff as well as the employees in the department. Psychological, different languages altitude and individual linguistic ability are also major barriers. This implies that effective communication can only be achieved through the improvement on one above communication barriers. This change which would be done to improve these stumbling blocks of communication would enable one to attain the ability to acquire the right information. When the right communication is available, it is made possible have well organized information which improves the physiological barriers. The attitude factors and the different language use are key to the achieving of the effective communication as without them no good attention would be paid to the communicators by the recipient and then vice versa. (Ormrod, 1995) Perception in work place is also very crucial to the people. This is because with perception, employees and management would understand on the ways of treating with each other. The use of perception in the fire rescues employees make the management to increase the numbers of employees to satisfy its sciences to the customers they serve. Once more this why the management could use wits perception and see the needs to establish the various station at different palaces which would brings the services clo9sers to the peoples’ home. The perception on the organization management on its employees creates an environment where an employee would feel either constrained or he may feel comfortable. Thus perception can enable the organization to get the right people in to the right positions which are available under the department. (Ormrod, 1995) Motivation being a process of decision making through which individual choose the right full outcome which set the appropriate behavior on them is very important in life. It is through motivation that people are influenced on other behaviors that lead them to the pursuance of particular goals which are of value. This was clear demonstrated by the mallow’s hierarchy. In his hierarchy he showed that there are deficiency needs which are needs which people are anxious about them. This includes survival, safety and security, love and belonging together with self- esteem. They further had a division which included the physiological needs which comprised of the basic human needs such as foods, water warmth and other r essential things which the body needs. These are in correlation to an organization that in the organization there things which are basic need while other things are also but not very important and not a must to be fulfilled. (Grippin, 1984) Teams within organization The organization has several groups which have been formed through a dynamic means. They are the staff groups which comprises of workers image staff working section of the organization. They are formed by participants who were anxious of having some cohesion and connective with each other in the workplace. This was not due to any conflict but it arose from the heart of men to perform no particulars task other than sharing their views on how they can improve on work performances. So it was their aim of achieving the particular task of better management of the organization as group. This was there for a formal group especially which was comprising of most people in the management. It was thus a functional group which was focused on determine the genereal objective of these organization thus ensuring that security issues where take into fore front in every moment discussion were held. They also observe the people employees in the different station had the proper interaction and still maintained the right interdependencies as well as performance levels. How role are defined Work design The people are managed under the combination of democratic styles of management to get with dictatorship style. This is because the work of providing safety to fire and other services is not an easy job. Structure The type o f jobs here include strategic planning , delivery of information services to communities, performance management, provision of media and communication systems to communities, project and vehicle management, marketing and web design to speed up information transfers statistical analysis , customer consultation and document production.(Phillips, 1985) Strategy The organization strategy on the provision of the safety and rescue affects the structures the organization by expanding the several new station. These new station requires to have station operation assistant mangers as well as well other staff members who would assist in the delivery of their services. Organization development Organization develops though creation of wide market which area achieved through proper delivery of services according to the organization behavior. An organization would be resistant to change if it has some people who are more concerned to the implication of for themselves and their own interest. This is brought by misunderstanding as to communication problems and inadequate information disbursement. Their resistant to change is overcome through education and communication, participation and involvement, facilitation and support, negotiation and agreement. (Burns, 2002) Organization culture Culture is the basic tactic assumption about how the world is and ought to be that a group of people are sharing and that determines s their perceptions, thoughts, feeling as well a their unconcealed behavior. Schien culture level includes the artifacts level which include the aspects which can easily be observed on the surface. However these are said to be hard to discern. The espoused values level lies beneath the artifacts which are conscious strategies, goals and philosophies. Third level is the basic assumptions and values level. This includes the core of culture which is represented by the basic underlying assumption and values. Organization management The organization decisions are made through various ways which depends on the urgency of the problem to be tackled or solved. Sometime decisions are made by individual leaders. This is especially when there is emergency situation on which requires immediate actions to be taken. However, there are other times when consulting of the major stakeholders proves to be necessaries, hence leaders converges together to give views on those issues. This leads to consensus building with each of the stakeholders of the company getting satisfied according to the consultation results. Rarely their is few chances where leader of the organization make get there decision by delegating them to others. Thus, generally the leadership style here comprises both participatory style as well situation style. (Haas, 1997) Reference: Andrzej, A. and David, A. (2007): organizational behavior. 6th edition.
